The college is progressing well with its undergraduate programme and PG programme in three areas (F.N., HDFS and HECM) and Ph.D programme in two areas (FN and HECM). Also, the emphasis is given to cater the needs of local arid areas by means of students and other research projects, field trips, RAWE and various training programmes. Like other Home science colleges of the country, this college too fulfils all the basic requirements of home science education including well-equipped laboratories, library, computer labs, canteen, play-ground, auditorium and separate hostel facility for UG and PG students. For widening exposure and experience, the students are given frequent opportunities for co-curricular activities like cultural, games, NSS, plantation and social get togethers. The students and staff members are performing very well at each front of their Home science education. Still, a lot has to be achieved like recruitment of sufficient number of staff, commencement of PG and Ph.D in remaining areas with suitable research projects and establishment of center of excellence for value addition of arid foods. Definitely, this would bring overall development of the college, university and the region on the whole. I earnestly wish that Home science may progress with the continuing support, co-operation and co-ordination of the diligent staff and the students may excel in whatever endeavor they undertake.
